Gap Semester

This experience will allow you to feel like a professional footballer with our Barcelona methodology & daily training delivered and overseen by our official qualified Barcelona Academy coaching team. To give you the full experience, you will also play weekly friendly fixtures against local and regional opposition.

Our Gap Semester Programme offers an intense 3-month schedule for international and domestic players aged 16 and over who are passionate about improving their game and furthering their skill set both on and off the field of play. The schedule is specifically designed for current and future student-athletes to enhance their development in an enjoyable and inspirational setting.

Programme Highlights:

The International Football Group Gap Semester experience in partnership with the Barcelona Innovation Hub and Blanquerna Universidad is an inclusive package, designed to allow aspiring athletes to live and train like a professional. Based out of both the official Barcelona Training Ground, athletes benefit from the below:

Daily training sessions, led by UEFA qualified FC Barcelona Academy coaches which will embody individual, unit and team-based sessions.
A vigorous strength and conditioning programme specifically tailored to your position, with unlimited access to on-site gym.
Video analysis sessions of matches and training sessions to understand where you can improve as a player and team.
Competitive fixtures against other clubs and their youth academies.
Semi and Professional Club Links.
Goalkeeper-specific training.
Access to a physiotherapist with weekly recovery & rehabilitation sessions.
Interactive and collaborative individual learning plans (ILP) in order to review progress achieved, set goals and determine how players can improve.
Full training kit issued on arrival.
